Dear Oppo, these trim clips are the best thing ever.

I just used the last 2 I had to reattach the front splash shield under mom’s car when she hit something in the road (no other damage, it just popped her splash shield out and the original clips were lost) and it reminded me how easy they are to use and how much I like them!

Buy these if you need trim clips - no tools required to install them or remove them (though SOMETIMES you might need a flathead screwdriver to pop them back out when they are latched in). They hold tight, they’re cheap, and they are pretty easy to find!

If they are, indeed, a GM-style clip and GM came up with them...well, good job GM!

It’s been about 1.5 years and they’ve been holding my rear mudflaps on nice and solid since I had to take them off one winter to fit slightly larger-than-factory tires!

They remind me of drywall anchors. It looks like they work the same way...

Oh, don’t worry...there is a stash of those in my passenger side door cubby. That is what I used to lash up mom’s splash shield until I got home and used the trim clips to put it up proper. The zip ties worked, but even tightening them as much as I could, it was still a lot more loose then with the trim clips!

“Well GM might not be the first to invent the drywall anchor, but they are the first to realize its potential as a bumper mount... the bump-anchor!”

(sorry.. that was a horrible attempt at an Archer reference... lol)

“push pin retainer.”

honestly I prefer plastic scrivets; they install much the same way but you release them by unscrewing with a Phillips screwdriver instead of prying on shit.

Until you follow some Jamoke that stripped the screw head....

I love that show, although I am really behind on it...the last season I saw was the one that ended with Archer being half-drowned in a pool...?

This is exactly why I hate the screw kind of clip...there were so many that wouldn’t release when I was doing my fog light install and trying to get the bumper off...I had to pry on THOSE more than I did these!

I had a mini-pack that contained some of these and a few other types ! I vastly preferred these kind and then went out and bought this separate package of just these!

The ones I have just have a nice flat top that sticks out enough for you to grade with fingers/fingernails if you want to pull them open!
